There are many different models of wire dog crates on the market today. Depending on witch model you decide to buy , it can make a big difference in how fast your pup gets housebroken. The two most common types of crates are steel wire and plastic dog crates. Both have their own pros and cons. We should also let you know that there is a 3rd model called a portable crate or a tent, is also available but is not nearly as popular as the first two. The airline crates or plastic dog crates have solid panels. They will make your pet feel safer than the wire dog crates. They can also be used to transport your pup by plane. Wire crates are made out of metal wire and will provide better visibility and offer better ventilation than plastic dog crates. These are also a lot easier to clean. Because crates made of wire are sturdier than the other models, they will last long time. One disadvantage however, wire crates don’t provide the same sense of security as a plastic dog crate, but you can always cover it up with a large blanket.
